Positioning the most helpful company in the world.

As Global Head of Brand Strategy I led development of a new company-wide positioning inspired by a single datapoint: Google is perceived as the most Helpful company in the world.

I also co-led various Google brand campaign and cultural initiatives, including the Emmy-nominated Year in Search 2016 campaign, which expanded a beloved year in review to encompass richer interactive and editorial content, driving record engagement over several weeks.

In 2016, my central brand team led the global consumer research, positioning, and naming strategy for a new Made by Google Hardware family, including the original Google Home smart speaker and the first Pixel phone.

In one of my final projects at Google, I led the end-to-end research, strategy, and go-to-market efforts for a new “Digital Wellbeing” initiative, which launched at I/O 2018 with new Android OS features and a CEO keynote by Sundar Pichai.

Digital Wellbeing has grown to become an 7+ year program supporting and promoting responsible use of screens by individuals and families across Google’s ecosystem.
